Sophie will be teaching France's famous dish, Gratin Dauphinois - no Christmas meal would be complete without it. To balance the creaminess of the gratin, Sophie will teach a crisp green salad with a typical french shallot vinaigrette. Before the main event, Sophie will share her family recipe for green olive tapenade, which is served spread on toasted slices of baguette. Everyone knows the French are famous for their desserts and Christmas time brings a special dessert: Poires Belle-Helene, pears poached in a syrup infused with spices and drizzles with decadent melted chocolate. You'll have to make this one for your friends & family before pear season is over!
